What work I am doing now

Now I'm working at Upenn McKay Orthopedics Research Laboratory. It's a department which is mainly focus on skeleton structure. what I am researching field is spine. We buy some gene edited mouse from a lab then breed them to get some gene mouse which genotypes we wanted. After getting enough mouse we euthanize them in order to dissect their body and harvest their spines. Next, we extract cells from those spines and isolate the NP cells (Nucleus Pulposus Cell) . Finally, we use the NP cells foe single cell RNA sequence. The aim of this study is to understand the development of the spine and protect our spine and prevent related disease. This is one of experiment I'm following. I also do some cell culture such as cell passage, staining, counting for Mucopolysaccharidosis study in our lab. Mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS) is a real disease. Due to a group of inherited lysosomal storage disorders caused by a single enzyme deficiency and impaired cartilage-to-bone conversion. Patient...

Spring is coming

Standing on the balcony Feeling the gentle breeze Looking out Sunshine overshines Morning dew kisses green grass Pink cherry blossoms fill a road with sweet fragrance Going outside Opening arms towards the blue sky Smelling scents of the earth Breathing fresh air Playing with jumping squirrels Singing together with flying birds Spring is coming

A poem for Jane Eyre

First time I saw Jane Eyre, I fell in love with it. I was young, while you were classic. Only a poor governess, but your love for Rochester is gold-like shinny. Vanquishing shadows in childhood, your heart grows full of light. Shall I compare you to roadside flowers, blossoming even though nobody knows. Shall I compare you to a thorny rose, though more strong-willed. Shall I compare you to the apple of a lover’s eyes, though even brighter. You are the fallen angel from heaven, making my soul golden.
