A poem for Jane Eyre

First time I saw Jane Eyre, I fell in love with it.
I was young, while you were classic.
Only a poor governess, but your love for Rochester is gold-like shinny.
Vanquishing shadows in childhood, your heart grows full of light.
Shall I compare you to roadside flowers, blossoming even though nobody knows.
Shall I compare you to a thorny rose, though more strong-willed.
Shall I compare you to the apple of a lover’s eyes, though even brighter.
You are the fallen angel from heaven, making my soul golden.

  2. How about fell in love with her? I understand that "it" refers to the book, while this poetry mainly focuses on praise of the heroine, so maybe "her" is also a choice.
