Patrick Star and Sponge Bob attending the Cook-Off
Sherry's story after reading "Eleven"
Patrick Star, who lives underneath the sea looks like a star. His friend Sponge Bob looks like a cube sugar. One day, Patrick Star saw a poster for the Underwater World Innovative Cook-Off on the next Saturday. Patrick told this news to his best friend Bob and they decided to take part in the cooking contest. On that day, according to the rules, each group should elect a leader, buy food materials, cook dishes, and place dishes beautifully. All of those procedures should be finished in three hours. The match was beginning. Firstly, Patrick and Bob must decide who to be the leader. Bob thought that definitely he would be the leader because he was a professional chef, while Patrick also wanted to be the leader because he thought he was more creative. They could not decide for a long nonsense discussion, so they decided to choose their group leader on the toss of a coin. The outcome was Patrick to be the leader! (Congratulations!) You know what, other group had already bought the food materials while Patrick and Bob were contending for the leader. As the leader, Patrick decided to choose food materials by himself and Bob to cook. Bob told Patrick to buy flour, several kinds of vegetables, cheese, butter, fruits, and tomato sauce, preparing to make his famous vegetable pizza. When Patrick was choosing materials, he said to himself: “I am the leader, why should I follow Bob’s instructions?” “No, I should not buy these boring materials because vegetable pizza is not innovative”. After choosing for a long time, Patrick bought flour, a huge bunch of roses and grapes. At the same time, Bob was very anxious, because he thought buying materials would cost only for a short time, while he had already been waiting for about an hour! He had already finished the prepared work and some groups had already finished their dishes. Patrick came back! When Patrick showed the materials he bought excitingly, Bob was shocked, asking “What should I do with these roses and grapes!” With only half an hour left, Bob had to make a cake with grapes as the filling and roses as the topping. Luckily, they finished it one minute before the end time. Finally, three judges tasted dishes from each group. When they saw Patrick and Bob’s dessert, they praised “it is an artwork! It is Monet’s garden! It should be the most innovative dish in today’s cook-off!” Patrick was very happy! Bob was shocked again...
