Summarize my reading

The article I have read is"Why some flowers greet us each spring"

This article tells about many types of flowers in our life. According to their survival time,
scientists divided them into three species including annals biennials and perennials. Through the name of species we can tell some flowers bloom once a year; some flowers bloom every two years; some flowers bloom many years, but there are exceptions called "Monocarpic" they spend a very long time to grow up then bloom and make thousands or millions of seeds in one go ,and finally they die. Of course, weather and temperature also influence the life of plants. Some scientists now are trying to tweak the DNA of annals plants to increase their  lifetime. If once the advanced technology succeeded in the future, it will be used into human agricultural development.

Although it has many professional terms and complex sentences, I could understand  main idea of this article and learned a lot of vocabulary. Unexpectedly, the last two paragraph caught my eyes.How similar to my study! Many scientists are dedicated to develop advanced technologies  in different fields in order to make a better life for people.

    By the way, the technology of tweaking the DNA of plants can be diverted not only to agricultural fields but also medical fields(for example, extending human's lifetime) in the future.

Section 26  of Diamond Sutra  By Buddha (maybe) All conditioned phenomena, Are like a dream, an illusion, a bubble, a shadow, Like dew or a flash of lightning; Thus we shall perceive them.        The author of this poem is presumed to be Buddha, he founder of the Buddhism. This poem compares all phenomena with things written in water. In other words, the matters are temporary and vulnerable. The second line compares phenomena as a dream, an illusion, a bubble and a shadow, which are unreal. The third line compares phenomena as dew and a flash of lightning, which are vemporary. By showing that the entire outside world is fake and temporary, the poem implies that only our inner senses are real and permanent.
